He has over 22 years of experience providing sourcing and globalization services to enterprises, service providers and private equity funds. He has advised and assisted firms on their global expansion plans He has led globalization engagements with governmental agencies, funding institutions and private sector firms across in many countries.
Anupam joined Avasant after the acquisition of his company Global Equations, a leading Globalization Advisory firm. At Global Equations, Anupam built a successful track record advising several destinations on developing infrastructure, workforce, policies, incentives and investment promotion strategies to grow their ICT and BPO industries. Global Equations rapidly grew to become one of the most recognized Globalization Advisory firms and was ranked consecutively amongst the Top 10 Advisory firms by the Black Book of Outsourcing (now IDC).
Anupam is a recognized globalization advocate and is active in many industry organizations supporting the global services sector.
Anupam has been actively involved in the venture capital and entrepreneurial ecosystem through his Board level role at TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs).
Anupam is a sought after keynote and speaker and has been a contributing author in a best-selling book on globalization – “Six Billion Minds: Managing Outsourcing in a Global Knowledge Economy” (printed in 2005).
Anupam is a sought after keynote and speaker and has organized and chaired several conferences on Technology, Venture Capital and Outsourcing. He has been the Chair of Global Sourcing Forum NY, one of the largest annual outsourcing conferences, since 2006. Since 2008 he has served as Program chair of World BPO/ITO Forum in NY, a “C” level forum on Offshoring and as Co-chair of IMT’s Global Contact Forum (Mexico City). Anupam is a frequent contributor in industry publications such as CIO, CFO, Global Services, CIO Leadership, Globalization Today, Outsourcing, Nearshore Americas and has been a contributing author in a best-selling book on globalization – “Six Billion Minds: Managing Outsourcing in a Global Knowledge Economy” (printed in 2005).
He supports and is on the Advisory board of non-profit organizations such as – TEN (San Jose based Technology Incubator), Aravali Institute of Management (leading Business School in India), Art of Living Foundation and ASSET Foundation.
Anupam resides in Austin, Texas and received his Master’s degree in Computer Science from J. N. University, New Delhi and his Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Delhi University. |
